Focusing

Focusing is a gentle way of connecting with the healing and wisdom contained in your body, and involves bringing compassionate awareness to where you are holding pain or tension.

Being aware of your body's response to a situation is a foundational skill that is transformational in its own right. I also use the process as part of Tapping, Z Point and other healing processes.

Z-Point

Z Point (created by Canadian Grant Connolly of AcceptingSelf.com) is a fantastic 'Power Shovel' method to quickly clear an entire situation by lumping all the negative emotions and thoughts and releasing them together.

Use the cue word at any time to support yourself and 'clear the path' when difficulties arise.

Ho'oponopono

Ho'oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness.

It is another of my favourite ways to help myself and my clients release negative emotions and allow love to heal the heart and change the situation.

It combines very well with Tapping (Tap while repeating the healing phrases) and is also part of my 'daily use' toolkit.

Tapping (EFT)

Tapping is also known as Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT.

This process can be useful in just about any situation, both to clear negative emotions and anchor positive choices.

It rewires the brain to release painful memories and evokes the body's relaxation response.

I use it daily as part of my self-care and meditation practice.
