Handy Meditation Tip

This week in our Meditation Series, we'll talk about some things that are useful to have with you when you come to meditate.
One is a glass of water. Meditation can be very thirsty work and certainly it helps to keep your body well hydrated, either by drinking before or after your meditation. So keep a glass of water alongside.

The other thing is a pen and paper. You will almost certainly find when you sit down and begin to calm, relax and focus your mind, that there will come rushing to the surface of your consciousness all of the things that you need to do. Rather than battling those thoughts, I recommend that you simply take a moment to open your eyes, pick up your pen and paper and write down what you need to add to your to-do list later, then resume your meditation without worry and without battle.

So in summary, I recommend that you have beside you some water, plus pen and paper for the to-do's that come up, and also for the creative bursts of inspiration that will come to you. Not in every meditation but often enough make pen and paper worthwhile.

Don't battle, flow with the distractions as they arise. Write down the things that need to be done, and the ideas that come to you, then come back to enjoy the rest of your meditation time.

If you're finding this series of meditation tips helpful, please share them with your friends.

Have a great week. I look forward to seeing you next week and remember, the world NEEDS you and your gifts.
